About

Hello! My name is Covers (also known as Covington, Covi). Welcome to my blog :D
My gaming history: I've been gaming all my life, but it's always been a casual affair.
I loved Final Fantasy (IV-XII), Chrono Cross and any other beloved RPGs. I've always been a big Sony follower, and whimsically remember the days where Sqare-Enix was Squaresoft.
It wasn't until I started playing World of Warcraft that I truly started to become what many would consider a hardcore gamer.
World of Warcraft changed gaming as I knew it. There was always a fine line between personal investment and social involvement between online games and console games. Trying out this game was an incredibly hard step for me, simply because of how shy and unsure of myself I used to be. When I did finally try it out,  it wasn't surprising how much WoW took over my life. It changed me as a person, and while some may find it hard to believe, it broke me out of my shell and helped me develop socially. I developed friendships that crossed boundaries like time (zone), countries, and age. I am not ashamed to admit that WoW changed my life.
Today, I have left the world of Azeroth permanently. All good things have to come to an end, and Cataclysm meant that to me more than the title. I originally blogged on Clearcasting@Blogspot, but with the shift of focus in my life, I felt it was time to retire the blog title. I want to continue blogging, specifically about video games, movies, TV, and other forms of media, but the title felt too wrong to keep. Clearcasting will always belong to my beloved druid, Covington.
I currently am involved in RIFT, another MMORPG. I have just recently started playing, so I hope to blog about my experiences as I discover the new world of Telera.
After a few months departure so I could wrap up a semester of college and got other affairs in order, I kicked off the summer by buying myself a WoW game card. Rift lost my interest after I hit level cap. I shortly realized that my favorite part of MMOs was leveling and alts, and Rift has very little love for them. I came back. tail between my legs to WoW.
I no longer raid, and make it a rule to stay away. I've run the ZA/ZG instances to get my healing groove back on.
However, to make WoW a much more fun experience, I've decided to try and discover another class, and maybe find love in it the way I did my druid 3 years ago. I attempted that with my hunter.
I eventually brought my druid back into the raiding game, and raided throughout 4.2 casually. By the time 4.3 came around, real life events forced me to stop playing. I retired on the cusp of Dragon Soul and have yet to down Deathwing.
Today, I currently play Star Wars: The Old Republic, a game I had been anticipating for three years. I love the game, and although there are some flaws, I have great faith that it will evolve into the epic MMO it deserves to be.
I also still dabble around on WoW (specifically because I have an annual pass). I have found that I am extremely unhappy with the state of restoration druids coming out of 4.3 and into MoP. I have thought about switching classes for the next expansion, yet I have not made any clear decisions.
I officially returned for Mists of Pandaria. Currently, I enjoy a nice casual play of WoW, and will eventually start 10 man raiding again.
Other Interests:
I am a lover of movies and TV shows. Because of my money situation, I tend to look at Rotten Tomatoes before I watch a movie I wanna see, so sometimes I don't see what I initially want to.
On TV, I currently watch: Game of Throens, Gossip Girl, True Blood, The Vampire Diaries, Mad Men, Glee, The Walking Dead, Revenge, Family Guy, Once Upon a Time, and Grey's Anatomy.
I've always loved to read, but I don't read many books anymore. (I read mostly blogs -_-). I'll sometimes throw out some reviews of something I might read or watch.

Virtual Me
World of Warcraft: After much research and beta testing, I ultimately decided to reroll as a Mistweaver Monk. So far, I have been greatly enjoying the change and play style of the monk.

Behind the Keyboard:
I'm a full time Cal State Fullerton student working on my Bachelor's. My major is Communication with an emphasis on Entertainment Studies. I also work part time in retail.
I've always been a huge gamer and I love all forms of media. I'm a big TV watcher and try to keep up on movies (although they are expensive to go see).
I hate reality tv , 3D and Twilight.
