I'm pretty knee deep in dirt at the moment. And no, not because it's been raining ridiculously over here, and because of that, MUDSLIDES...
California + Heat= Wildfires= Loosen dirt/ash + rain= mudslides
It's because I've spent perhaps 70% of my Cataclysm experience doing Archaeology. I'm addicted. It's pretty bad.
It all starts with the prospect of getting an epic.
Then you get an epic/rare and you go...oh man....gotta get more.
From there it's a downhill spiral.
When I discovered that Tyrande's Favorite Doll was not only a BIS trinket for druids, but also a BoA (um. alt-o-holic's wet dream?) I had to have it. Had to.
Unfortunately for me (and my poor sanity) I have this bad obsession with wanting something bad (in a game) and because it is very possible for me to get, I will relentlessly pursue it until it is in Covington's bags.
So the digging began.
And continued.
And continued some more.
..
...
..
Nearly 192 Night Elf artifacts (and thats not including the other 100s of race artifacts i dug up) and 12 rares later, the elusive trinket made an appearance.
Damn near fell out of my seat.
My boyfriend was sitting next to me, and also nearly fell out of his seat because he thought I was having a heart attack.
My previous Cataclysm list was to focus on Covington, then my Warrior, but it quickly escalated to an intense focus of digging.
Honestly, it all paid off in the end; not only did i get my shiny trinket, but I also walked away with an epic staff and an epic ring.
I haven't done any digging sent. I did spend a little time to get the Clockwork Gnome pet, but after that, I stopped.
I would like to get the achievement that gives me the title Professor (20 rares completed), but it's going to have to wait. I have to go back to working on rep through dailies (Therazane got ignored badly) and work on some alts and professions. (need a miner still.)
